Texas State Guard Exemplary Service Medal

The medal pendant is of bronze, 1-1/4 inches in diameter. On the obverse side of the pendant, is a faceted sixteen-pointed star with triangular rays. Beginning at the top triangular ray at the 12 o’clock position, each alternate ray reaches the edge of the pendant, with the rays in-between reaching 1/25 inch from the edge of the pendant. Atop the sixteen-pointed star is a Texas Ranger style medal shape with an outer ring 15/16 inches in diameter, and with the seal of the Texas State Guard centered on the star. The seal is a shield on which is a five-pointed star, one point up, over which is the raised letter, "T." The outer ring is encircled with the words, “EXEMPLARY” above the star, and “SERVICE” below the star.  On the reverse side of the pendant is a five-pointed raised star, one point up, 3/8 of an inch in diameter, surrounded by a wreath formed by an olive branch on the right and a live oak branch on the left, encircled by the words, "TEXAS STATE GUARD", along the upper arc and "TEXANS SERVING TEXANS”, along the lower arc, in raised letters. The pendant is suspended by a ring from a rayon moiré ribbon, 1-3/8 inches long and 1-3/8 inches wide, composed of five vertical stripes. The first stripe is Golden Orange #67109 (1/4 of an inch), followed by Purple #67115 (1/8 of an inch), Golden Orange (5/8 of an inch), Purple (1/8 of an inch),  and Golden Orange (1/4 of an inch).

 

Texas State Guard Meritorious Service Medal

The medal pendant is of bronze, 1-1/4 inches in diameter. On the obverse side of the pendant is a waiving Texas flag on a flagpole tilted -45 degrees, encircled by the words, "TEXAS STATE GUARD" on the upper arc and "MERITORIOUS SERVICE" along the lower arc. On the reverse side of the pendant is a five-pointed raised star, one point up, 3/8 of an inch in diameter surrounded by a wreath formed by an olive branch on the right and a live oak branch on the left, surrounded by the words "TEXAS STATE GUARD" along the upper arc and "TEXANS SERVING TEXANS" along the lower arc, in raised letters. The pendant is suspended by a ring from a rayon moiré ribbon 1-3/8 inches long 1-3/8 inches and wide, composed of eleven vertical stripes of Orange #67110 (11/64 of an inch), Green #67129 (17/64 of an inch) Old Glory Red #67156 (1/16 of an inch), Ultramarine Blue #67118 (1/16 of an inch), Old Glory Red (1/16 of an inch), Old Gold # 67105 (1/8 of an inch), Old Glory Red (1/16 of an inch), Ultramarine Blue (1/16 of an inch), Old Glory Red (1/16 of an inch), Green (17/64 of an inch), and Orange (11/64 of an inch).

 

Texas State Guard Commendation Medal

The medal pendant is of bronze, hexagonal in shape with one point facing upwards, 1-1/4 inches from top point to bottom point, and 1-1/10 inches wide. On the obverse side of the pendant is a five-pointed raised star, one point up, 1 inch in diameter, encasing the design of the flag of Texas. Over the top triangle of the five-pointed star is a banner that reads, “COMMENDATION”. On the reverse side of the pendant is a five-pointed raised star, one point up, 5/16 of an inch in diameter surrounded by a wreath formed by an olive branch on the right and a live oak branch on the left, surrounded by the words "TEXAS STATE GUARD" along the upper point and "TEXANS SERVING TEXANS" along the lower point, in raised letters. The pendant is suspended by a ring from a rayon moiré ribbon 1-3/8 inches long 1-3/8 inches and wide, composed of five vertical stripes of Old Glory Red #67156 (5/16 inches), White #67101 (1/4 inches), Old Glory Blue #67178 (1/4 inches), White (1/4 inches), and Old Glory Red (5/16 inches).

 

Texas State Guard Achievement Medal

The medal pendant is of bronze, octagonal in shape, 1-1/4 inches long and 1-1/4 inches wide. On the obverse side of the pendant is an outline of the borders of the State of Texas, with the words, "TEXAS STATE GUARD" on the upper three sides of the octagon and "ACHIEVEMENT" along the lower three sides of the octagon. The word “ACHIEVEMENT” is bookended by a waterdrop with point facing upwards, atop a circle, atop a waterdrop with points towards the word “ACHIEVEMENT”. On the reverse side of the pendant is a five-pointed raised star, one point up, 3/8 of an inch in diameter surrounded by a wreath formed by an olive branch on the right and a live oak branch on the left, surrounded by the words "TEXAS STATE GUARD" along the upper three sides of the octagon and "TEXANS SERVING TEXANS" along the lower three sides of the octagon, in raised letters. The pendant is suspended by a ring from a rayon moiré ribbon 1-3/8 inches long 1-3/8 inches and wide, composed of three vertical stripes of Bluebird #67117 (9/16 inch), Ultramarine #67118 (1/4 inch), and Bluebird #67117 (9/16 inch).

 

Texas State Guard Commanding General’s Individual Award Medal

The medal pendant is of bronze, 1-1/4 inches in diameter. On the obverse side of the pendant is the centered seal of the Texas State Guard. The seal is a shield on which is a recessed five-pointed star, one point up, over which is the raised letter, "T". At the top of the seal is a banner reading “COMMANDING GENERAL’S”, and at the bottom of the seal, a banner reading, “INDIVIDUAL AWARD”. The seal and banners are encircled by the words, "TEXAS STATE GUARD" on the upper arc and "EQUAL TO THE TASK" along the lower arc. On the reverse side of the pendant is a five-pointed raised star, one point up, 3/8 of an inch in diameter surrounded by a wreath formed by an olive branch on the right and a live oak branch on the left, surrounded by the words "TEXAS STATE GUARD" along the upper arc and "TEXANS SERVING TEXANS" along the lower arc, in raised letters. The pendant is suspended by a ring from a rayon moiré ribbon 1-3/8 inches long and 1-3/8 inches and wide, composed of three vertical stripes of Green #67129 (3/32 inches), Orange #67110 (1-3/16 inches), and Green #67129 (3/32 inches).

 

Texas State Guard Good Conduct Medal

The medal pendant is of bronze, 1-1/4 inches in diameter. On the obverse side of the pendant is the centered seal of the Texas State Guard. The seal is a shield on which is a recessed five-pointed star, one point up, over which is the raised letter, "T.", encircled by the words, "TEXAS STATE GUARD" on the upper arc and "GOOD CONDUCT" along the lower arc. The words “GOOD CONDUCT” are bookended by a waterdrop with point facing upwards, atop a circle, atop a waterdrop with points towards the words “GOOD CONDUCT”. On the reverse side of the pendant is a five-pointed raised star, one point up, 3/8 of an inch in diameter surrounded by a wreath formed by an olive branch on the right and a live oak branch on the left, surrounded by the words "TEXAS STATE GUARD" along the upper arc and "TEXANS SERVING TEXANS" along the lower arc, in raised letters. The pendant is suspended by a ring from a rayon moiré ribbon 1-3/8 inches long and 1-3/8 inches and wide, composed of five vertical stripes. The first stripe is Goldenlite #67107 (1/4 of an inch), followed by Emerald #67128 (1/8 of an inch), Goldenlite (5/8 of an inch), Emerald (1/8 of an inch), and Goldenlite (1/4 of an inch).
